Before you decide.
I've never made a film before. Is this too advanced?
No. The course walks through the filmmaking process from the beginning and shows how the pieces connect. Some familiarity with basic AI tools is helpful, but professional filmmaking experience is not required.
Do I need expensive equipment?
No traditional production equipment or film crew is required for the AI portion of the workflow. You will need access to the AI and editing tools you choose to use.
Do AI subscriptions come with the course?
No. Third-party AI platforms and their generation costs are separate. The course includes a lesson on starting on a budget — you don't need fifteen subscriptions to finish your first film.
Which AI tools does the course use?
The demonstrations currently use an LLM (ChatGPT and Claude) for story, screenplay, shot list and prompts; Nano Banana and Gemini for character and image work; and Kling and Seedance for video — including a side-by-side comparison of both on the same shot.
But Solo Director teaches a workflow, not a platform. Every step is built so you can swap in other image and video models as they arrive.
What happens when new AI models come out?
The filmmaking workflow stays applicable even as individual generation tools change. Story, shot list, motion board, continuity, edit — none of that depends on which model rendered the frame.
Is this just a prompt course?
No. Prompting is one piece of one step. Solo Director teaches story development, screenplay, shot design, character consistency, generation strategy, continuity, editing, sound, music and completion. If you only wanted better prompts, this is more course than you need. If you want a finished film, it's the part most courses skip.
Will I make a finished project?
That's the whole design. The course moves from an initial concept through the complete production workflow to a final edit — and the entire thing is demonstrated on one film, start to finish, so you can follow the same path with your own idea.
